Morgan Stanley Business Challenge

During National Careers Week we welcomed the lending team from Morgan Stanley to Gospel Oak School to work on developing thoughts and ideas about sustainable businesses.

First the team shared their careers journeys with us.  They told us about what they enjoyed at school and what their hobbies were, and their journey to Morgan Stanley and what their job involved.

Our students then had time to reflect on their own achievements and skills to date, and have time to think about their future goals and how they could achieve them.  The team supported the students with ideas.

The team explained the concept of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and our students were able to demonstrate their knowledge and how they could apply this to their business ideas.

The Gospel Oak_ students rose to the challenge and some great business ideas were generated with creative solutions for ESG. The Morgan Stanley team were on hand to guide and support the students to develop their ideas.

Before the team had to leave, some cool Morgan Stanley merch was distributed, much to the delight of the students.

Students put the branded notebooks to good use by reflecting on the day and sharing their thoughts on the experience.  We want to thank the team from Morgan Stanley who very generously gave their time and energy to spend the day with students from GospelOak  and everyone Central Region Schools Trust for organising.
